Biography
I am a second year osteopathic medical student at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine with a strong interest in orthopaedic surgery and musculoskeletal medicine. My previous research experience includes microbiology research with Dr. Aaron Baxter during my undergraduate education and exercise physiology research with Dr. Lauren Koch during my master's program, where I studied the effects of exercise on health outcomes using rat models. These experiences have developed my interest in applying research to questions involving musculoskeletal health, physical function, injury, and patient outcomes.
Research interests
My primary research interests are in orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine, and musculoskeletal health. I am particularly interested in the relationship between exercise, injury, physical function, and long term clinical outcomes. I am also interested in sports injury epidemiology, outcomes research, and research evaluating the effectiveness of orthopaedic treatments and interventions.
