Biography
Stephen Saleh is a second-year osteopathic medical student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine–Middletown with a strong interest in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and musculoskeletal research. My interest in orthopedics grew through years of personal experience recovering from knee injuries and undergoing reconstructive surgeries, where I developed a firsthand appreciation for both the surgical and rehabilitative aspects of patient care. Those experiences sparked a lasting interest in cartilage restoration, ligament reconstruction, and improving patient outcomes. I am excited for the opportunity to contribute to collaborative orthopedic research, learn from experienced mentors, and continue developing my understanding of orthopedic research and its impact on patient care.
Research interests
Sports medicine, cartilage restoration, osteochondral allograft transplantation, ligament healing outcomes following reconstruction, regenerative medicine, and patient-centered outcomes research in orthopedic surgery.
