Biography
Myles Dolphin is a first-year medical student (Class of 2030) at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine with a primary interest in orthopedic surgery. He completed his undergraduate degree at Brown University in Health & Human Biology and History of Health in 2023, where he contributed to a bioengineering project developing a low-cost splint for finger flexion contractures and completed a two-semester course in bacteriophage isolation and genomic characterization. Prior to medical school, he worked as a medical scribe at an orthopedic specialty practice, observing sports medicine and shoulder/elbow surgeons. He is currently seeking opportunities in clinical and outcomes-based orthopedic research.
Research interests
Clinical and outcomes-based orthopedic research, with particular interest in sports medicine and shoulder/elbow surgery, joint arthroplasty, and orthopedic trauma. Interested in systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and database or epidemiologic studies (e.g., NEISS) that inform clinical decision-making and surgical outcomes.
