Biography
Michael J. Alaia, MD, is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Associate Director of NYU Langone's Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. He is a sports medicine, shoulder, and elbow surgeon whose practice includes complex knee ligament reconstruction, cartilage and joint-preservation procedures, and treatment of shoulder instability and rotator cuff disease. He has particular expertise in multiligament knee injuries, knee dislocations, revision ligament surgery, and return-to-sport care.
