Biography
Gabriel Makovoz is a 3rd year student in the 3-year undergraduate portion of the 7-year Sophie Davis Biomedical Education B.S.-M.D. program at the CUNY School of Medicine in New York City. Having trained in Muay Thai for many years, he has developed a strong interest in sports medicine and orthopedic trauma research, with a particular focus on combat sports, injury prevention, and evidence-based policy development. His research interests also include robotic and computer-assisted orthopedic technologies, biomechanics, and large-scale national database studies.
