Biography
Benjamin Peterson is a current M1 at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine with a strong interest in orthopedic surgery and academic medicine. As a former Division I soccer player, he developed leadership, discipline, teamwork, and resilience that continue to shape his approach to medicine. His previous experiences with Hospital for Special Surgery and Arthrex exposed him to world-class patient care, orthopedic innovation, and medical education, further strengthening his passion for the field. He is eager to become involved in research, develop the skills necessary to contribute to academic medicine, and gain experiences that will allow him to one day mentor and educate future physicians.
